Laparoscopic Surgery

Early this month, I was advised by one of Oliver’s relatives to have my blood check since I was always sick during the Christmas holiday.  Since I would be fasting for 8 hours that means no water or food intake from 12 midnight, I told them to include sugar and cholesterol test in my blood testing.  After two days, Kuya Dick called up Oliver; to inform him that my CBC, sugar and cholesterol are all fine except for one test that is high on something. He suggested again that I have another test that would include an ultrasound of my liver and another blood testing for Hepa Profile.   As soon as I got my ultrasound results, they found 2 gallbladder stones in my gallbladder. Honestly, I was afraid. One, never had any major operation in my entire life, since I gave birth to my children via normal delivery. Second, expenses! But I have to take care of myself. I ask some of my friends about the surgery, and they all told me to just get it removed. It was a normal procedure.  My good friend Myra Mailig referred me to the doctors at RMC. I was given a scheduled date for the operation. So I immediately process my Philhealth MDR to shoulder my hospital and medicine expenses. Dr. Ray Sarmiento recommended Laparoscopic Surgery, there are four small incisions and the healing process is much faster than open surgery. The Professional fees (PF) of the doctors will be a package deal.  January 25, 2012 I was admitted to the hospital. The skin allergy test was a first for me! aahhhh!  A group of doctors operated on me last January 26, 2012, Thursday at 1:30 pm. I was so fortunate that the operating and recovery room was fully renovated, so it was new and clean. They put the gas on me as I went to sleep. I woke up in the recovery room hearing the voice of my husband peeking through the door. As soon as I was fully awake, they send me to my room. Oliver handed me a bottle with the stones they removed from me.  As I look into the bottle I was surprise to find not two but THREE gallstones and they were huge! I was discharge from the hospital the next day.
so ouchy!!!

two dextrose after the operation

Right now, I just feel sores in my body, like I was punch by a boxer, and I am well taken cared of my husband, cleaning my wounds and my kids assisting me. I will be back for a check up with Dr. Sarmiento in his clinic on Friday, February 3, 2012

Ace Water Spa - Pasig

My family and I tried the Ace Water Spa - Pasig Branch last January 22, 2012.  It is a Hydrotherapy Massage for the Whole Family.  It is an indoor facility that opens from 6 am to 11 pm.  We got there at 8 am.  As soon as we presented our vouchers, we where given our respective lockers. Upon entering the locker rooms, each one is given a head cap to be worn in the swimming pool area. The lockers are spacious for your things, and the shower rooms are clean, complete with shampoo and liquid soap. Their vanity mirror also has hair blowers and gels. You have to take a shower before entering the pool area. You have an option to bring a towel. There are so many things to do, aside from the basic lap pool, kiddie pool, lazy pool, inside the big pool are the different massages for certain body parts. You can choose if you want a soft, medium or hard massages.  It was so relaxing to be massage and in the water at the same time. They also have the herbal pools and a steam and sauna room. The maximum time that you are allowed to stay is 4 hours. It’s a fun alternative to bond with your family.  Rates for adults are P550.00 and Kids (4ft and below)  P250.00. Bringing of foods and taking pictures inside the pool are are prohibited.  The kids had a grand time that we are planning our next visit...together with my brothers :)

Beside the pool is the Ace Coffee Lounge.
